  • Doors: $100 per door

Freshly painted bedroom Vancouver

What does that mean in real money?

A 12×12 ft bedroom is 144 sq. ft. Walls at $2.70/sq. ft. come to about $390. Add the ceiling (144 sq. ft. — ~$187), and a full bedroom repaint lands around $580 — paint, materials, and labour, all in.

What can change the final price:

  • Wall condition — cracks, nail holes, and water stains need prep work; heavy prep adds labour.
  • Drywall repairs — we handle them; priced after we see the scope.
  • Height and access — stairwells and vaulted ceilings take more time and equipment.
  • Colour changes — going from dark to light (or the reverse) can need an extra coat.
  • Exterior work — Vancouver’s rain and moisture make proper prep more important here than almost anywhere in Canada. We only paint exteriors when the weather allows it.

The cheapest quote usually isn’t the cheapest:

A low bid that skips prep, uses cheap paint, or rushes the job costs you twice: once now, once for the repaint in two years. Proper prep and quality paint are what make a paint job last 8-10 years in our coastal climate instead of 2-3.

Interior vs. exterior timing in Vancouver:

Interiors: year-round. Exteriors: late spring through early fall, when surfaces are dry and temperatures cooperate. If your exterior paint is peeling or bubbling, don’t wait for summer — moisture gets under failed paint fast in our climate. Call us and we’ll assess it.

FAQs:

  • How long does it take? Most bedrooms: 1 day. A full 2-bedroom condo: 3-4 days. A whole house interior: about a week. Exteriors: 3-7 days depending on size and condition.
  • Do I need to move my furniture? Just small items and valuables — we move and carefully cover everything else.
  • Do you work in condos and strata buildings? Yes — houses, condos, townhouses, and strata painting projects across Metro Vancouver, including phased work and strata scheduling requirements.
  • What paint do you use? Premium lines like Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint or equivalent — durable, washable, low-odour.
